AIG’s supplier diversity program seeks to broaden AIG’s supplier base by providing more businesses, regardless of ownership or size, with the opportunity to participate in the bidding and procurement process on a level playing field and with the focus on merit. While AIG’s ultimate decision as to which supplier to use for any procurement will be based on the provider’s qualifications, our Program is designed to be inclusive and to ensure that businesses that have historically played a smaller role in our supply chain, including small and/or diverse-owned businesses, have an opportunity to compete for our business.
